Title: Validating Generative AI in Digital Pathology for Clinical Use Beyond the Algorithm
Abstract: The development of robust generative AI in digital pathology for cancer diagnostics is limited by the scarcity of large-scale, annotated datasets and a clear framework for clinical translation of deep learning models. We will examine the pathway from a feasible technology to a clinically validated prognostic model. The discussion will conclude with a regulatory science perspective on the emerging challenges and standards for validating and approving complex, generative AI-enabled medical devices for safe and effective patient care.
